Today was one of those special events. An important person in our family (Grandma De) turns 84 this coming Monday. We had a party for her today at Pam and Bruce Madsens home. It was wonderful to have all of our children play together and to feel so welcome in the Madsen home. It excites me to see my children building relationships with their cousins and understanding at a small age that their relationships are different than their friends. These relationships are eternal.
Bruce set up a water slide for the kids. They had a blast. Ages were from 18 months to 12. They all loved it. It was fun watching them come down the slide.
Bruce and Pam had their little new born. She is an absolute doll. Lindsay is making a perfect big sister. It is cute to watch her with her little sister.
Kari and Larry were there. They are moving to Riffle, CO. So they are busy with the move. But we got to have Dusty and Becca play with the kids.
Joe and Joy brought all 4 girls up. They had a blast playing.
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of these meaningful and significant things. Some of them may be funny. Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." ~President Gordon B. Hinckley
"To you women of today, who are old or young, may I suggest to you that you write, that you keep journals, that you express your thoughts on paper. Writing is a great discipline. It is a tremendous education effort. It will assist you in various ways, and you will bless the lives of many--now and in the years to come, as you put on paper some of your experiences and some of your musings." -President Gordon B. Hinckley
